Three ways to use blood work
Routine, targeted, or deep wellness
Most Ashburn clients fall into one of these three patterns. Browse the relevant tests below or call us if you’re unsure where to start.
Routine wellness
CBC, CMP, lipid, A1C — the panels your physician orders for an annual physical. Walk in any day during open hours.
Targeted markers
PSA, iron/ferritin, vitamin D, testosterone, thyroid — for tracking a known condition, family history, or symptom workup.
Deep wellness
Our comprehensive wellness panel covers CBC, CMP, lipid, thyroid, A1C, vitamin D, iron, and key hormones — all from one draw.
What to expect
From walking in to results in your portal
Most blood-work visits take under 15 minutes from check-in to walking out. After we verify your photo ID and the panel you want, you’re taken to a private collection room. A trained phlebotomist completes the draw — typically 5 minutes — using a single small set of tubes that covers everything you ordered.
Even our deepest wellness panel (CBC, CMP, lipid, thyroid, A1C, vitamin D, iron, and key hormones) runs from one draw — no second needle stick. Results post to your secure online portal within 24 to 72 hours and can be shared or printed directly from the portal.
We can also fax results to any provider you name — primary care, specialist, concierge medicine, telehealth — at no additional charge. Just give us the fax number at check-in.
FAQ
Blood testing questions, answered
Common questions about walk-in blood work at our Ashburn lab. Don’t see yours? Call us at 571-500-7030.
Do I need a doctor’s order to walk in for blood work?
No. We include the doctor’s order at no additional charge for almost every blood test we run. Walk in, pick the test or panel you want, and our staff handles the paperwork. No prior visit to a primary-care doctor required.
Will my own doctor accept results from your lab?
Yes. We process every blood test through the same reference labs hospitals and major medical groups use, with the same reference ranges and methodology your physician expects. We can fax results directly to any provider you name, at no additional charge.
Which blood tests require fasting?
The lipid panel (cholesterol), fasting glucose, and the comprehensive metabolic panel are most accurate after 8 to 12 hours fasting. A1C, thyroid, vitamin D, and most hormone panels do not require fasting. Plain water is fine. Coffee with cream and morning meds break the fast.
How fast do blood test results come back?
Most blood-work results post to your secure online portal within 24 to 72 hours. Rapid tests — including the COVID-19 RT-PCR swab — return same-day. Some specialty panels take 7 to 10 business days; we will tell you the turnaround at booking.
Can I get blood work without insurance in Ashburn?
Yes — every blood test on our menu is available without insurance at a flat published price. You see the total before any sample is collected, and we accept cash, credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards. Your results never appear on your insurance record.
How long does the blood draw itself take?
About 5 minutes from sitting down in the chair to walking out. Most panels — including the deep wellness panel — use a single small set of tubes from one needle stick. Our phlebotomists work with patients with difficult veins and with anxious patients regularly.
