General

General

The questions we hear most often from new clients.

Do I need a doctor’s order to get a lab test?

No. Any Lab Test Now of Ashburn provides the doctor’s order at no additional charge for almost every test we offer. Walk in, pick your test, and we handle the paperwork. You can also schedule an appointment in advance for the fastest experience.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance — and that’s by design. You see the full price up front, your results never go on your insurance record, and you avoid surprise deductibles or balance billing. We accept cash, debit, credit, and HSA / FSA cards.

How fast will I get my lab results?

Most blood-work, STD, and drug-test results are returned in 24 to 72 hours through our secure online patient portal. Some rapid tests — including our COVID-19 RT-PCR swab — return same-day results in 1–2 hours.

Can I walk in or do I need an appointment?

Both work. Walk-ins are welcome during open hours and employer-based drug screens are walk-in only (M–F, 10 am–3 pm). For other tests, scheduling an appointment guarantees the fastest in-and-out experience. Call 571-500-7030 or book online.

How private is my testing?

Completely. We are HIPAA-compliant, your results are not sent to your insurance carrier, and our staff is trained to handle every visit with discretion. Results are delivered through a secure password-protected online portal that only you can access.

Where exactly are you located in Ashburn?

We’re at 42775 Generation Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147 — in the Goose Creek Village area, easily reached from Sterling, Leesburg, Brambleton, Broadlands and South Riding. Free parking on site.

Booking & visits

Booking & visits

Walk-ins, appointments, paperwork, and what to bring.

Do I have to book ahead?

No — walk-ins are welcome during open hours. Booking an appointment guarantees a specific time slot and a shorter wait, which is especially helpful on weekends and during peak hours.

What should I bring to my appointment?

A photo ID, any paperwork your employer / court / doctor has issued, and your payment method (cash, credit, debit, HSA or FSA). If you’re fasting, bring water — coffee with cream and morning meds break the fast.

Can I reschedule an appointment?

Yes, anytime. Call 571-500-7030 or reply to your confirmation email. There is no rescheduling fee.

Pricing & payment

Pricing & payment

Why we don’t accept insurance and how HSA / FSA work.

Why don’t you accept insurance?

We focus on transparent prices and fast service. Insurance billing adds days of paperwork, surprise deductibles, and ties your results to your insurance record. Our flat prices are usually competitive with insurance copays — and you keep your results private.

Do you accept HSA and FSA?

Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards for any test that qualifies as a medical expense. We can also provide an itemized receipt for reimbursement.

Are these prices final?

Yes — the price you see is what you pay. No hidden fees, no balance billing, no surprise charges. Add-on tests can be requested at the time of your visit.

STD testing

STD testing

Confidentiality, window periods, and panel details.

Is STD testing confidential at Any Lab Test Now Ashburn?

Yes. We are HIPAA-compliant and your results never go to an insurance carrier. Staff is trained for discretion, and results are delivered through a secure online portal accessed only by you. Walk-in or appointment — either way, your visit stays private.

How soon after exposure can I get an accurate STD test?

Different infections have different window periods. HIV-1/2 antigen-antibody tests are reliable about 18–45 days after exposure. Chlamydia and gonorrhea PCR tests work within 1–2 weeks. Syphilis and herpes antibody tests typically take 3–12 weeks. If you’re unsure, call us — we’ll help you pick the right test.

What does the Comprehensive STD Panel include?

Our most-requested panel covers HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and herpes I & II — all in a single visit. Results are typically available within 24–72 hours.

Do I need to abstain from sex before getting tested?

No — but for chlamydia and gonorrhea urine PCR tests, try not to urinate for at least one hour before collection so the sample is concentrated enough for accurate results.

DNA testing

DNA testing

Peace-of-mind vs legal tests, accuracy, and immigration.

What’s the difference between a peace-of-mind and a legal paternity test?

A peace-of-mind paternity test is for personal knowledge — samples can be collected at home or in our office without strict identity verification. A legal (court-admissible) paternity test follows strict chain-of-custody: each party shows ID and samples are collected by trained staff. Court, child-support and immigration matters require the legal version.

How is the DNA sample collected?

A simple cheek swab — painless, takes about 60 seconds. We swab the inside of each cheek for about 30 seconds and the sample is shipped to our AABB-accredited lab. No blood needed for most DNA tests.

How long do DNA test results take?

Peace-of-mind paternity results are typically ready in 3–5 business days after the lab receives all samples. Legal and immigration tests follow the same timeline; the difference is procedural, not technical.

Is an immigration DNA test accepted by USCIS?

Yes — when performed at an AABB-accredited collection facility and shipped under chain-of-custody. We are AABB-accredited and send results directly to USCIS or the requesting US embassy.

Drug & alcohol testing

Drug & alcohol testing

Panels, detection windows, and chain-of-custody.

Do you do walk-in drug testing?

Yes. Employer-based drug screens are walk-in only, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 3 pm. Bring photo ID and any chain-of-custody paperwork your employer has issued.

How far back does a 10-panel urine drug test detect?

Detection windows vary by substance. Most water-soluble drugs (amphetamines, opiates, cocaine) appear in urine for 2–4 days after use. THC can be detected for up to 30 days in chronic users. Hair follicle testing extends the window to roughly 90 days.

What’s the difference between a 5-, 10-, and 12-panel drug test?

A 5-panel screens for amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, PCP and THC — the DOT standard. A 10-panel adds barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, propoxyphene and methaqualone. A 12-panel adds additional benzodiazepines, opioids or synthetics depending on the protocol. Pick based on your employer or court requirements.

Can a drug test be sent directly to my employer or court?

Yes. We follow strict chain-of-custody for employer, DOT and court-ordered tests, and we can send results directly to the requesting party. Bring any forms or instructions issued by them.

Blood work

Blood work

Fasting, accuracy, and result delivery.

Do I need to fast before a blood test?

For the lipid panel (cholesterol), glucose, and the comprehensive metabolic panel, fasting 8–12 hours is recommended. Water is fine. Other tests — including A1C, thyroid, and most hormone panels — do not require fasting. Call ahead if you’re not sure.

Will my doctor accept results from Any Lab Test Now?

Yes. All blood work is processed at the same reference labs used by hospitals and major medical groups. Your results come with the same reference ranges and methodology your physician expects.

Can I get a paper copy of my results?

Yes. Results are available in the secure online portal immediately upon release, and we can also print a paper copy or fax results to your physician at no additional charge.

General health & wellness

General health & wellness

TB, COVID, allergy and hormone testing details.

What kinds of TB tests do you offer?

We offer both the PPD (TST) skin test — used for school and many healthcare-employment requirements — and the QuantiFERON-TB Gold blood test, which is a single-visit alternative often required for nursing programs and BCG-vaccinated individuals.

How quickly can I get a COVID PCR result?

Our COVID-19 RT-PCR swab returns same-day results, typically in 1–2 hours after collection. We deliver results via the secure online portal with a travel-ready PDF on request.

Are food sensitivity and allergy testing different?

Yes. Allergy testing measures IgE antibodies — the immediate-reaction antibodies behind classic allergic responses. Food sensitivity testing measures IgG antibodies, which reflect delayed reactions. We offer both as separate panels.
